At its 14th Congress in January 2026, the Communist Party of Vietnam re-elected Tô Lâm as General Secretary and set ambitious economic targets. Vietnam aims for at least ten percent annual growth and wants to reach high-income status by 2045. To get there, the Party is pushing digital transformation, private sector investment, and a major administrative reform.
