In 2012 RLS supported the project “Towards a participatory policy development: the case of revised Electricity Law in Vietnam” conducted by the Hanoian NGO Green Innovation and Development Centre (GreenID). The project aimed at increasing the interaction and engagement of civil society with elected delegates and related committees of the National Assembly in relation to the revised Electricity Law in Vietnam. Further the project intended to raise the voice of local people and the public during the policy-making process in relations to Electricity governance.

One of the outputs of the project is the “Review and recommendations report on the 5th draft amendment of the Law on Electricity”. The report aims at providing the National Assembly with an additional source of reference for use in the sessions before approving this important law.
